Battle of the Hindus 2025 cricket encounter between Jaffna Hindu College and Hindu College, Colombo for the 14th consecutive year will be played at the Jaffna Hindu College Grounds on February 7 and 8.

The encounter, initiated in 1982, evolved into an annual big match after being played at alternate venues, in Colombo and Jaffna. Over the years, the Battle of the Hindus has emerged a significant sporting event celebrating athletic excellence and strengthening community bonds through their sporting tradition.

Out of the 13 previous occasions the Hindus have encountered each other, both sides – Jaffna and Colombo, have won three games each, and with seven draws completing the tally.
